A Message from Kylie
Kia Ora Koutou,
I hope you all enjoyed the Easter holiday and made the most of the beautiful weather. We ended last week with our very first Y3-6 Tabloid Sports Event and our very first House Competition. It was a great day filled with fun and school spirit! The House Winner for the Tabloid Sports was Rata House.... go RATA! It was very close with only a few points between each house. All points awarded to house competitions throughout the year go towards the House Champions Cup - this cup will be awarded to the house with the most points at the end of the year. Our House Champions Cup is currently being made!

Y0-2 Junior Fun Run

We are looking forward to the Y0-2 Junior Fun Run tomorrow, Thursday 4th April. The event will start at 1.45pm (after lunch). As we are promoting this as a fun run event the children may like to wear their house colours or their favourite colour t-shirt and shorts or come dressed in multi-coloured clothing. There will be a coffee cart on site for those of you who would like a coffee :) Your child will require the following items:
- Clothes suitable to run in
- Running shoes / sneakers
- Drink bottle - water only
- A warm sweatshirt to wear before and after the run
- Sunhat

A massive big thank you to Kate (PTA President) and all of the enthusiastic PTA members who so generously gave their precious time to make the PTA Gala a successful community event. It was wonderful to see so many of our students, whānau and community members support the Gala. It was a lovely evening for all!

We are looking forward to our whānau hui this evening at 6.30pm in the staffroom to talk about the success of our Māori tamariki, as Māori at our kura. We are keen to hear from the whānau of our Māori tamariki about what they think Māori succeeding as Māori is and how we can work towards achieving this.
Enjoy the rest of the week!
